How do I keep track of absolute position using the TRACKER NSE-5310 after powering down?

There are a number of ways to use the TRACKER position sensor and maintain absolute position. One of the best ways is to look for the magnetic field to drop off near the end of the magnet. The TRACKER will report its internal gain compensation value (AGC) which can be used to determine if the end of the magnet is near. The user can then move back to the nearest pole pair transition as their home reference position with the full specified accuracy and repeatability.
