How do I keep the resin from my pine tree from eating the paint off my car?
Well first of all in the mean time, you need to move your car or at least wash it regularly so the resin doesn’t do more damage. I used to have the same problem but the resin I was getting washed off with warm or hot water. My parents also have the same problem with redwoods and the red little berries that fall and stain lighter color cars. We found this sap remover that works good: http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://glazedistributing.com/images/treesap.jpg&imgrefurl=http://glazedistributing.com/glaze.html&usg=__PIarEePR0X0dRXjMwdYXrboSAEE=&h=640&w=480&sz=212&hl=en&start=8&um=1&tbnid=gvlQI0L8a-76yM:&tbnh=137&tbnw=103&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dtree%2Bsap%2Bremover%26hl%3Den%26rlz%3D1B3GGGL_enUS260US260%26um%3D1 Also, try goo-gone. Goo-gone works really well at getting sticky stuff off. Good luck!
