How do I join the NYU Facebook network?
To join the NYU Facebook network, you willl need a NYU alumni alias e-mail, if you do not have an existing NYU e-mail account. To request an e-mail alias, you will need to complete the steps listed below. Due to the heavy volume of requests for this service, establishing a NYU alumni alias e-mail account may take up to a week. a. Register at NYUniverse. b. Once registered, select “Lifetime E-mail Forwarding” from the drop-down list under Alumni Benefits. c. Complete the online form. d. Once you have received your NYU alumni e-mail alias, go to Facebook. e. Click on the “My Accounts” dropdown in the upper right-hand portion of the screen. f. Select: “My Account” and choose the “Networks” tab. g. Fill in the college network form with your alumni e-mail address. h. Check your email. A confirmation e-mail should arrive with directions on how to authenticate your NYU e-mail address.
