How do i introduce my yorkshire terrier pup to my very nervous yorkie dog.?
I had the same problem I have one female yorkie who is now 11 months old and a female puppy who is now 12 weeks old. When we first got the second pup, life was a nightmare, the older yorkie was terrified of the pup, she was growling in fear and scared to go anywhere near the pup. The pup was charging and jumping on the older dog. After a couple of weeks they seemed to sort themselves out and still have the odd mad half hour but most of the time they are very good with each other, they are even starting to eat out of the same bowl and sleep in the same bed. Don’t give up hope it does work out for the best, I was pulling my hair out in the beginning, just let them mix when you are there to watch out for the older dog, and seperate them when it seems to go too far. Apart from that just let nature take its course. I’m glad to say my life is much better now….
