How Do I Install Updates For Microsoft Works On Windows ME?
The Microsoft Works software is a word-processing program similar to the more-popular Microsoft Word. From time to time, Microsoft releases updates to the program that fix bugs they have found or offer new functionality. If you use the Windows ME operating system, you can download the updates directly from Microsoft’s official website. Open the Microsoft Works program either by double-clicking the desktop icon or by clicking the name of the program in the Programs menu listed in the Start toolbar. Wait for the program to load. Click “Help” at the top of the screen. Click “About Microsoft Works” from the drop-down menu that will appear. Check the top area of the new window that will pop up to find the version of Microsoft Works you are using. Note the version information. Open the web browser you use by double-clicking on its corresponding desktop icon.
