How do I install the PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controllers Power Console remote client utility on a registration server running Windows NT?
• From the installation CD, run \pex100\perc\percnet\win32\setup.exe. • During Setup, a readme.txt file appears with some helpful configuration information. Read the file; then close it. • Check the following boxes: • PowerEdge RAID II Console Server If this machine does not have a PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller, this option does not need to be checked. This utility registers the PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller with the registration server. • PowerEdge RAID II Registration Server There can only be one server with this option activated. • PowerEdge RAID II Console Client If you do not want to use this machine to manage the PowerEdge Expandable RAID Controller on this machine or on any of the others, do not check this box. • Select a directory for the Console utility or accept the default (c:\dellraid). • If the file regserv.dat is not found in the same directory as the hosts file, Setup prompts you to edit this file.
