After you have downloaded the trial from here, make sure your PPC is connected to your computer, and that ActiveSync is running. ActiveSync is the software by Microsoft that allows your handheld to communicate with your laptop or desktop, and if it is not installed, it can be found here. Now simply run the installation file you downloaded for HomeGauge and ActiveSync will take care of making sure it gets to the right place on your handheld. After you run the install on your desktop computer, the installer will ask you to complete the installation on your Pocket PC. HomeGauge 4 includes the installer as an item on the Windows Start Menu, under All Programs – HomeGauge 4.
