How do I install the Grass Gator EZ Reel 7800 on my gas powered trimmer?
Grass Gator replacement heads for gas powered weed trimmers fit all makes and 99% of all models of trimmers currently in use, and there are only two methods of installation depending on the particular machine involved. Before installing the the 7800 Grass Gator on your trimmer, remove the bump knob,spool, and spring from the EZ Reel by depressing the tabs on the side of the head and separating the two halves. The first method (most curved shaft trimmers, except Weedeater) involves (1) removing the spool and spring from the spool housing, selecting the nut or bolt from the kit that fits your shaft, (2) installing the enclosed spacer cup over the exposed shaft with the closed side of the cup pointing toward the ground, placing the washer from the kit over the shaft and on top of the spacer cup, and placing the nut or bolt into the hexagon shaped recess on the bottom of the Grass Gator replacement head.
