To install the patch on a Windows machine, simply open EndNote X2, click “Help” in the menu bar, then select “EndNote Program Updates” and follow the prompts. For Macintosh machines, go to the Machias page and click on “Version X2 Patch for the Macintosh.” Follow the instructions from there.
