How do I install SATA drive under Windows 2000/XP?

The Serial ATA controller is not automatically recognized under the Windows 2000/XP installation unless SATA controller driver is installed. The SATA controller drivers need to be available on floppy disks for installation of operating systems. If you possess CDs only, copy the driver files into floppy disks before attempting to install Windows 2000/XP. If you do not know how to copy the drivers into a floppy please download the latest driver from the website :*DRIVER CD(\\Driver\Chipset\Nvidia\SATA\DRIVER) Solution. During Windows setup, you will be prompted to press F6 to “install additional controller drivers”. At this point, insert the SATA controller driver floppy diskette and follow the onscreen instructions. When the installation of drivers is completed, users can proceed with Windows installation.
