How do i install my frigidaire dishwasher with granite countertops?
The basic installation procedure is the same for any type of countertop. Youre not telling us “where” the dishwasher is going, or if you are replacing an existing one, or installing one where there wasnt a dishwasher before, etc. Obviously, a countertop needs to be supported… you will most often find dishwashers installed in the space adjacent to the sink cabinet, with more cabinets on the farther side of the dishwasher. This will work just fine for a granite countertop, as well as the more typical countertop products. If you are going to install the dishwasher under the granite, but at the end of the row of cabinets… then you need to put a support panel on the end. This will serve two functions… cover the dishwasher (which normally does not have a ‘cabinet’), and provide some good support for the countertop.. If the dishwasher is going to be installed “after” the row of cabinets, and the granite will not extend to cover the top of it, then I would recommend building a simple “bu
