For your D link router to work, you need to put the modem to bridge mode first. Are you using a speed stream modem? If you are, access the interface of your modem first. The address is 192.168.0.1 Click on the Advance tab Then PPP Location, click on the third tab: Bridge Mode Then click on save changes you will notice that the internet light on the modem will be off. Connect your D-link router after the configuration. Access the interface of the modem: 192.168.0.1 ***username: admin ***password: leave it blank It will open the page for the router: *Click on the WAN tab on left-hand side of the screen. Select PPPoE. *Select Dynamic PPPoE (unless your ISP supplied you with a static IP address). *Type in your username and password with your internet service provider. *Maximum Idle Time should be set to zero.
