How Do I install Multipad files found on the Net?
The files that are available can be made to work with the 740/2000/9000/Tyros. Sometimes they have been assembled for a specific instrument, but often they are just a group of files each containing four multipads. For the 2000/Tyros, the files need only be named with the extension .pad. For the 740, you need to havea .usr file, a Pad directory, a .mng file in the Pad directory and specific names for the pads themselves. Recipe for making a Multipad in Cakewalk Start Cakewalk and File/Open PadTemplate.mid (available from SVPworld). File/Open the midi file you want to use for pad 1. This will create a second window with the midi in it. Click the track number to select it. Drag the mouse along the measure bars to select the measures. Depress the Copy button (5th from left in the toolbar). Click OK to Events in tracks query
