You can install Mac OS onto a large hard file or partition (at least 20MB big). You can install from Floppy disks or CD-ROM. You cannot install Mac OS from the disk you booted off, you must boot from another disk. If you have downloaded disk images from Apple or other source, you`ll need Stuffit Expander/Lite/Deluxe to extract the files and provide an Install image to install from. See the links page When installing Mac OS, always use a Custom Install, so that you can select what software to install thus preventing crashes or lockups when you first boot. Note do not install AROSE extension or PPC files.
