Go to the LimeWire website. (A link is located under Resources below.) Click on the button for “Get Basic” on the right side of the screen under the phrase “Free.” It will take you to a CNET.com page.Click on the button for “Download Now.” After a moment, a new window will pop up that will ask you to download the .exe file for LimeWire Basic. The file will be named “LimeWireWin.exe”. Press the “Save File” button on the pop-up window. The file will then download onto your computer.Open the .exe file that was downloaded. Click “Install” and the installation will begin. Follow the directions to specify what options on LimeWire Basic you want to install.
