At present, syscheck is unable to work in a 64bit environment. Either switch to 32bit for the installation, then disable syscheck using CBF before reverting to 64bit operation, Or (if unable to use 32bit OS version) a. Ensure that the ingres user is not able to read kmem. b. install ingres2.0 from scratch (BUT do not attempt to Expressinstall). c. When asked “Do you want to set up these products now”, open another screen, as root, to the server. Rename syscheck to syscheck.org then link syscheck to /bin/true. d. Switch back to the screen running install/ingbuild. Continue installation.
