How do i install custom content on the sims 3 (could do it on the sims 2)?
Downloads from modthesims are a little more complicated to install – there’s just some background work you have to do to start with! It doesn’t take long. 1. In your sims file on your computer, where you find a list of folders with everything in the game (downloads, custom music, cache files etc), you need to right click in an empty space and make a new “Mods” folder, then within that a new “Packages” folder. This is where your downloads from modthesims will go. 2. Next you need to do a bit of downloading. You need a program (if you don’t already have one) that can open .RAR files (or other types which can’t just go through the launcher – everything from modthesims needs this). I use 7-Zip – it’s free and easy to use, and the download is safe.
