To install the general alert program, run the \pex100\perc\genalert\setup.exe program from the installation CD. Perform the following steps to configure the general alert program: • Activate the general alert program and leave it running. • Begin the Mega Monitor program by selecting Monitor\Start and then choosing File\Registration. • Switch back to the general alert program and verify that MegaRAID Mon is listed under Registered Clients. • Under Registered Clients, choose Change Configuration, and set the methods of notification that you want. • Exit the general alert program. CAUTION: Do not exit the Mega Monitor program first, as this unregisters the program. • Exit the Mega Monitor program. It is not necessary to have either the general alert or the Mega Monitor program running to generate alerts. Once the configuration is complete, you do not have to use these programs again.
