– Before starting make sure gas is turned off. 1. Push down the plastic clip on top of the igniter body. Then push up on the plastic clip on the bottom of the igniter body. This will release the igniter from the metal bracket. 2. Remove the igniter from the bracket. 3. Straighten electrode rod from the porcelain end so there is only one sharp bend at the tip of the rod. Insert electrode rod through hole #1 4. Screw the bracket onto the stove with the large metal screws provided. 5. Insert the igniter body back into the bracket making sure to align plastic clips with the notches on the metal bracket and snap it back into place. 6. Bend electrode rod until about 3/16″ from one of the gas burner ports (holes on top of burner). Be careful not to break the ceramic insulator. Electrode end can be cut shorter if necessary. Note: To mount the ignitor on a stove unit that is not drilled. insert ignitor wire into large hole #1 and mark holes #2 and #3. Drill holes using 3/16″ bit and then follow
