Shut down your computer. Locate the USB port on your computer and your floppy drive unit. Plug in the cable to connect your computer with the drive unit.Power on your computer, and allow the computer to boot up and recognize the new drive. Look in your taskbar system tray, at the bottom-right side of your desktop, for a small icon notifying you that Windows has detected new hardware. This is called “plug and play” installation.Wait for the computer to finish installing the drive hardware. The small icon in your system tray will pop up to tell you that the drive is installed.
