How do I install a Joomla! Template Package File?
Step 1 – Login to your Joomla! Admin Panel usually located at http://{yourdomain}/administrator Step 2 – Click on Extensions->Install/Uninstall which can be found under the Extensions drop down menu at the top of your Joomla Admin Window. Step 3 – On the next page click Browse. Step 4 – A dialog box will appear. Locate your template package file (usually a archive file, e.g. .zip, .tar.gz) on your hard drive and click ok. Step 5 – Click Upload File and Install. Step 6 – After successfully installing your template, click on Extensions->Template Manager which can be found under the Extensions drop down menu at the top of your Joomla Admin Window. Step 7 – Select the radio button on the left of the template you installed, and then click the Default button located at the top right of the Joomla Admin Window. Your new template is now installed and activated. You can now customize your template to suit your taste.
