How do I install a dado blade on a table saw?
PreparationUnplug the table saw, and completely lower the blade into the body. Remove the screws that hold the throat plate on the table saw plate, and remove the throat plate. Using an arbor wrench or a block of wood on the blade to hold the arbor, loosen the arbor nut with a wrench to remove it. Remove the saw blade, and completely clean the arbor with a soft brass brush.Dado StackBuild the dado stack out of outside blades, twin-tooth cutters and shims to the necessary width for the dado to cut. Each piece is marked with the thickness it adds to the dado stack. The outsides of the stack are the inside and outside blades. The inside of the stack is made of shims and twin-tooth cutters. For narrow cuts, only the outside blades are usually required.InstallationTransfer the dado blade stack to the arbor one piece at a time.
