Insert, Object to take you to character map, switch to Windings font and you have a tick and a tick within a box. Double click to bring it in and you can then copy and paste it as you need it. If you are 2007 version, switch to Insert menu, click on the symbol icon, right of the ribbon and if it is not on show in the gallery (of recently used symbols, click on More Symbols to take you to character map as above.
