How do I input an gable-sheeted endwall with stub columns?
Optima is not currently capable of designing an endwall with only the gable sheeted and stub columns. To price this condition, choose a main frame for your endwall type, then input a Partial Height Open Area with a height equal to the eave height minus 1′-6″ (enter 18′-6″ if your eave height is 20′-0″). Go to Tools, Project Notes, and enter a note specifying that there are no endwall columns to the floor and that the gable is sheeted with stub-columns only.
