How do I initialize and reset my EWI4000s / EWI3020m / EWI3030m / EWV2000?
If you have jumbled patch names showing in the EWI/EWV display or the unit is not functioning properly, you may need to initialize. Proceed at your own risk: EWI4000s Factory Reset / Initialize: Turn off the EWI4000s. Hold down all four of the GRAY buttons on the EWI4000s WHILE turning the power on. This reloads the factory sounds and resets all settings to the factory defaults. Note that if you loaded in the Patchman Music EWI4000s soundbank, you will need to re-load it after doing the reset. EWI3020m Memory Clear: Turn off the EWI3020m. Press & hold [UP], [DOWN], & [WRITE] buttons and turn the unit on. The display changes from [AKAI EWI3020m] to [ALL DATA [CLEAR], then to [S01 : Strut 2]. The memory data of this unit is now cleared. Now push AUTOTUNE to retune the filters and oscillators.
