If you have jumbled patch names showing in the EWI/EWV display or the unit is not functioning properly, you may need to initialize the Akai unit. Proceed at your own risk: EWI4000s Factory Reset / Initialize: Turn off the EWI4000s. Hold down all four of the GRAY buttons on the EWI4000s WHILE turning the power on. This reloads the factory sounds and resets all settings to the factory defaults. Note that if you loaded in the Patchman Music EWI4000s soundbank, you will need to re-load it after doing the reset. EWI USB: Before resetting, first try closing and reopening Aria (with EWI USB still plugged in). If that doesn’t work, the keys and sensors may need to be recalibrated. Follow these steps to reset the EWI USB: 1. Hold EWI USB by its plastic casing only. Do not touch any of its metal parts. 2. Press and hold the RESET BUTTON. After five seconds, the STATUS LED will flash rapidly. 3. When the STATUS LED stops flashing, release the RESET BUTTON. Also make sure to disable any virus prot
