How do I initialise the DR-5?
Make sure the unit is switched off. Hold down the two Fret Shift Keys and then turn the unit on. You can then let go of the Fret Shift Keys. You should see ‘System Init?’ on the display. Press ENTER to continue with the initialisation, or press EXIT to cancel it. Initialising the DR-5 returns the memory back to the state it was in at the factory, i.e. EMPTY. Please make sure that you really do want to erase all your songs, patterns, chords and any setup data before performing this operation. It is usually a good idea to do a backup of your data before doing a reset – just in case. For help with doing this see the section on backing up.
