How do I index files in Fort Dox?

0

Fort Dox allows you to build document types for each category of file you want to scan or import into the system. For example, if you wanted to scan contracts, you could configure a document type that had two index fields: contract number and contract type. For the contract type, maybe you want to have a drop down menu with three choices: vendor contracts, services contracts, and legal contracts. After you configure this document type, you will scan or import your files. At scan or import, you will be able to key in the contract number and select the contract type from the drop down list. This will tag the documents and provide the criteria you will use to search for them in Fort Dox.
