How Do I Increase My Golf Swing Speed With Isometric Bands?
A primary goal for most golfers is to increase driving distance off of the tee. The distance achieved correlates directly with the velocity generated, also called club-head speed. Resistance training is an effective method of increasing speed to generate power in the golf swing. However, most golfers avoid resistance training in fear of decreasing speed due to added muscle. Isometric or resistance bands have emerged as viable alternatives for golfers by offering adequate amounts of resistance without the concerns of bulking up. Attach door extender to the middle hinge of the door or doorknob of a closed and locked door. Thread isometric band through the extender and grab hold of both handles. Increase your distance from the door until there is no longer slack in the band or the extender. Your shoulder should be facing the door. Extend arms out in front of you with both hands clasping both handles together. Slightly bend the knees and contract the abdominal muscles. Slowly rotate the up
