How do i improve short distance running time?
To sprint faster you need to improve the number of fast twitch fibres in your body. Fast twitch muscle fibres are thicker than slow twitch muscle fibres and react when placed under pressure to grow large. (This is the main reason why 100m sprinters are very muscular). Downhill sprint training is meant to be good for improving speed.Moving your workout to a downhill slope will increase speed. The pull of gravity will force you to run faster than you would be able to prevent falling. It is important to concentrate on good form and drive while running downhill. Get yourself on track and sprint 100m as fast as you can, take a few minutes rest in between each run walk around to get that lactic acid out of your muscles. You should see improvement in your speed.
