How do I improve my wireless network range?

I totally disagree with the first response that says don’t try to reach the router with a cable. There is NO comparison between a wired connection and a wireless connection. Wireless connections are very convenient but for someone like me who downloads large ISO files simultaneously, I would NOT depend on a wireless connection. You can by a long patch cord with both ends already terminated and PLUG THAT PC IN. If you need the cable measure the distance and post it and I can tell you where to find it. the distance limitation for ethernet cat 5 is 300 feet.
