How do I import .jpg WITH TYPE to remain sharp printing a book in iPhoto?

0

I am preparing a 30+ page book to be printed by Apple Photo Service (150 copies) using iPhoto and the “Picture Book” theme. Most of the book’s pages contain one or more .jpg photos and fit the exact layout what I want. Note that the Picture Book theme will allow ONE image to fill the entire book page, bleeding on all edges. However, to produce this book, I must create two of the book’s pages outside of iPhoto – using either Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. These pages contain photos and several paragraphs of 10pt type that cannot be accommodated by the preset layouts available in the Picture Book theme. I would then import these 2 pages into iPhoto for placing in the book (filling the entire book page) My problem is that when I output the pages from either AI or PS in .jpg format, the text isn’t sharp after I input the .jpg in iPhoto. I would prefer to input a .pdf of these pages (the type would be sharper), but I cannot get iPhoto to accept a .pdf. My question is: Can anyone recommend
