How do I help my mother realise shes addicted to painkillers?
You can’t help someone like this unless they want help. Sad, but true. She has probably already endured liver damage. The best thing you can do for her is to get all your loved ones together to try and encourage her to enter a drug treatment program where they can slowly wean her off the drugs. Quitting cold turkey could be dangerous and is unlikely to work. Best of luck.
