I would suggest checking the MLS website regularly especially in the early. A lot of teams hold open try-outs( my hometown Galaxy had one earlier this year) Also search the web for a local USL or PDL team (minor league) who might do the same thing. Just realize that your husband has to pay an entry fee to attend these try-outs. I think his best bet will be to try to catch on with a minor league team and try to catch the attention of pro scouts, I have to also echo what another poster has mentioned and that is your husband’s age. If he is older than 25 his chances are going to be competing with a lot of 22 year college grads many of whom have been competing in NCAA Men’s Soccer, which is very competitive. Good luck to your husband, but also remind him that working hard and providing for his family makes him an “All-Star” too.
