How do I heat mold my CadoMotus boots?
CadoMotus PRO boots are built using new moldable materials technologies, not the heat-moldable sheet traditionally inserted into speed boots. This moldability is active at a higher temperature than traditional material – which helps CadoMotus boots take on the shape you want, and keep it. Because of the higher temperature involved (100-degrees Celsius to activate the material), CadoMotus does NOT recommend using an oven for molding. To mold your CadoMotus carbon boots (PRO): 1. Attach frames properly to the boots 2. Remove wheels (to allow a steady, still position when you stand in the boots later) 3. Unstrap microbuckle and loosen laces (to allow the boots to be opened easily) 4. Using a heat-gun (paint stripper heated-air gun), heat the moldable ankle areas from the outside – keeping the gun’s air outlet at least 15cm away from the boot surface, and using a slow, circular motion to distribute the heat evenly 5.
