How do I handle moving in with a single dad?
My husband was a single dad when he and his kids moved in with me. We all got along fine. Occasionally, one of his daughters would cry because she knew that I was a sign that her parents would never get back together. We would just remind her that they both love her, and that them living apart was much better for everyone since they argued all the time. I think that our wedding really helped though. We made the kids a big part of the ceremony. Have you considered getting married? I think the best thing for your boyfriend to do is to be honest with her. Kids aren’t stupid, and treating them like they are makes things worse.
