How do I handle an evil sister in law?
Well of course you don’t want to invite her, truth is no one does. The whole family is well aware of her antics and have grown to anticipate the meltdown and drama and then breathe a sigh of relief after her opera and go on with the event as planned. (Gotta say I like the thought of the betting on the blowup mentioned above.) I would keep her as far away from everything as you can. Mom in law should also be kept at a distance, this is hard and a terrible thing to have to do but her attitude about her daughter has created the situation and the consequence of that is her being kept at a distance. Any discussion of this will result in more drama so keep it all low key and not a part of your planning. If someone else brings this up (and they will) walk away. Let it be known by your actions that you will not participate in the hypothetical stories people enjoy spinning about the person that always has a reason to freak out about something at every event.
