How do i grow a Lima Bean Plant?

Get a packet of lima beans that are used for seed (you should be able to get them at a nursery). Firmly fill cups or small pots with good potting soil (also at a nursery) that has been moistened. Be sure the pot has drainage holes. Make a hole in the top of the soil (just sticking your finger in should do the trick), and put one seed in each cup/pot; they’re pretty big seeds, so I wouldn’t put more than one in a container. Cover the seed, and give it a bit of water. Place the cups/pots in a sunny spot where they will stay at 70F or above. Keep the soil moist, but not sopping wet; never let it dry out. You should see young bean plants in a few days. If you want the seeds to germinate faster, you can soak them overnight in tepid water before planting.
