How do i graph a floor plan?
Graphing a floor plan is relatively simple and can be used when designing a house or for furniture or appliance placement in an existing home. Using a piece of graph paper, determine the scale for your drawing. For instance, one square might be equal to 5 feet or 10 feet. The scale doesn’t matter as long as you are consistent throughout the drawing. Each line on the drawing will represent a wall. Breaks in the walls can be used to show where windows or doors are located. Be sure to use a pencil so that you can erase. The permanence of ink is too frustrating if you want to change your plan in any way! Good luck!
