All depending on your budget you can find a good propane torch at most hardware stores. The propane is a disposable bottle. You will need some cutting shears or a jewelers saw. Cheap metal shears can be purchased also at hardware stores or at some store that recycles tools. I have bought a lot of my tools from second hand stores. Of course you will need some silver to begin with. That can be purchased from Rio Grande Jewelry Supply in Albuquerque, NM. Some people like to start with what is commonly called Nickel Silver, or German Silver or Indian silver. I personally would stay away from that unless finances dictate other wise. The problem with using Nickel Silver is that it solders at a much higher Temperature than regular silver. Silver is for $33.00 US Dollars per ounce.
