How do i go about joining Northumbria Police?
Your age is not an asset at the moment, they prefer people who have more experience, as they bring life skills. In the meantime there is nothing to stop you going to uni , and getting more qualifications. You could apply to be a Community Support Officer or member of the civilian staff and using that as a springboard to get in. They may not be need male candidates at the moment but doing any of the above will put you in the best possible position later. The other thing to mention is that you could look at other forces who do not have such a long waiting list get through your training and probation period with them, and them transfer to Northumbria. The Met may not have such a long waiting list.
