How do i go about getting new car keys if i lost both my spare and original?
Dealer can make keys from the VIN number if the locks haven’t been tampered with. I paid 150 to get one of my trucks rekeyed to match the other. Dont know why it would be so much from a locksmith. They were not transponder keys, by the way. I have bought transponder keys off ebay for 15.00. If you go that route, the dealer will have to program the car to get the key to work. They dial into the computer and tell it the key is good. One reason I programmed 6 keyes when I got my new truck and stashed 2 away.
