How do i go about getting a job on an oil or gas rig?
Hi Dave, You would need to find out the name of the Rig Operators/Owners and write to them. This means that you would make a Speculative Job Application and specify that you are interested in unskilled work on a drilling rig. or, You could ask that they send you an application form. Meanwhile, gather together all or any school/college or university certificates along with employment references and make copies. Never send original documents with a job application. You can always say that you will produce the originals at a job interview. You should also visit your local library and seek books on the subject of Job Search, Resume Preparation and writing cover letters.
