How do I get wireless internet working on my new Dell 1310 Laptop?

It seems to me as if the Operating System (Windows) is not detecting the wireless card. Most of my previous experience with this leads me to believe that the wireless card has died and your laptop needs a new one. Open the Device Manager and select the option under one of the top tabs to scan for new hardware. If it doesn’t pick it up, then either your wireless card is dead, or it needs to be reseated (meaning taken out and plugged back into your laptop). If the laptop is still under warranty I suggest you call Dell and explain the situation… they’ll ask you to send them your laptop so they can fix it for you.
