How do i get to samar island from Surigao City?
I have not done this whole trip in one go but I have done it in stages. That is to say, I have travelled from near Ormoc City to Surigao City. I have travelled from near Ormic City to Samar. There are several ways, you can do this trip. You can catch a RORO ferry from Surigao City to Liloan in Southern Leyte. The last time I caught this ferry, it departed from the pier just out of Surigao City, to the north. It did not depart from the pier area in downtown Surigao City. From Liloan, there will be busses going to Ormoc City. From Ormoc City, you might be able to catch a bus straight over to Samar. If not, catch a bus to Tacloban then a bus from Tacloban over to Samar. The San Juanico Bridge joins Samar to Leyte near Tacloban so there is no need for another ferry. If you have your own car or hire a car, you can travel the same route. I don’t know the schedules and have no up to date costs but if you are a foreigner, the costs will seem very small.
