How do i get to Saint Kilda Beach with transport from Flinders Street?

It’s easiest to just look for a tram that says ‘St Kilda Beach’, I once took one saying St Kilda via Fitzroy St, and it took forever, but eventually got there. It should say City or Flinders St / Station. Of course with trams you need to cross over to the other side to go back.
