How do I get to Playa Tambor?
We can make arrangements to pick your party up at the San Jose Costa Rica airport. If you have a car rental or need to rent one, you would drive to Puntarenas. This is around a two hour drive. From there you would take a very pleasant ferry ride to Paquera. The ferry ride is around an hour and fifteen minutes. Then from Paquera it is a 30 minute drive to Tambor. If you were planning on taking the bus you would want to go into San Jose and then to the Puntarenas bus station to catch the direct bus. From Puntarenas you would catch a taxi to the ferry to Paquera then it is a 30 minute bus ride to Playa Tambor. There also are several flights per day from the airport to Tambor on Sansa or Nature Air Airlines, it is a 1/2 hr flight. We can also reserve accommodations, with advance notice in one of several hotels or cabinas.
