How do I get to NY penn station from Grand central station?
Penn Station is around 33rd Street and 8th Avenue. Grand Central is around 42nd Street and Park Avenue (for location estimate, think of it as being like 4th Avenue, which doesn’t exist in that part of town). Getting there is fairly simple, just head in a west-downtown direction following the street numbers. If you see Lexington Avenue, don’t cross it; you’re going the wrong way. It’s about a 15-to-20-minute walk (recommended!). By subway, fairly easy. Just get the S train at Grand Central. Take it to Times Square. From there, take any downtown subway except the N/Q because they stray towards 6th Avenue. Get a downtown-bound A-C-E-1-2-3, whichever you find first, one stop, to 34th Street/Penn Station.
