The drive from San Jose is easier and shorter than the drive from the airport in La Paz. Alaska Airlines, Aeromexico, Mexicana, Aero California, Continental, Delta, America West, American and Sunquest Vacations all fly into Los Cabos. Renting a car is the best way to get to Cabo Pulmo.
