A Secondary School Counseling endorsement to an Elementary School Counseling certificate allows an individual to be a counselor in a K-12 setting. You will need to fill out a planned program with your advisor. Generally you must complete COU 822 Lifestyle and Career Counseling, a graduate level Secondary Curriculum theory course, and COU 880 Secondary Practicum. However, students who hold a K-12 teaching certificate will have the curriculum class waived.
